STAND ADHD Program

Parent and Child on the Same Team

A structured, evidence-informed coaching model that brings parents and children together to build executive function skills, reduce conflict, and create sustainable routines.

STAND treats ADHD as a shared puzzle to solve together, not a defect to fix in the child. That shift changes everything.

My child already takes ADHD medication. Can we still do STAND?

Absolutely. Medication helps the brain focus better, but it doesn't teach skills or build routines. STAND provides the behavioral and environmental supports that medication can't.

What if we've "tried everything" already?

Many families come to us after reward charts, consequences, and parenting books have failed. STAND is different because it doesn't rely on "trying harder"—it works with how the ADHD brain functions, using motivation rather than pressure.

What if my teen refuses to participate?

Resistance is common—and often a sign that past approaches have felt controlling or shaming. STAND uses engagement-focused strategies to find entry points that matter to them, not just to parents. We meet teens where they are.

Is STAND covered by insurance?

STAND is typically billed as psychotherapy/counseling, which many insurance plans cover. We provide receipts for insurance submission. Check with your provider for your specific coverage.

Do you communicate with my child's school?

With your consent, yes. We can provide teachers with practical strategies, accommodation recommendations, and help coordinate a consistent approach between home and school.
